General
Both EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager require Joomla 5.x with PHP 8.1 or higher. They are not compatible with Joomla 3 or 4.
Yes. EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager are completely independent components. They work great together — use Frontend UserManager to manage users and groups, and EasyLearn for your courses — but neither requires the other.
Yes. Both extensions use standard Joomla 5 output with Bootstrap 5 classes. They work with any Joomla 5 compatible template. EasyLearn also includes customizable color themes that adapt to your site design.
English (en-GB) is the default language. Language packs are available for Danish, French and German. All strings use standard Joomla language files, so you can also create your own translation. Community translations are welcome.
Yes. You can install the extension on any number of sites. Your subscription tier determines how many domains are covered by support and updates: Single (1 website), Professional (up to 5 websites) or Developer (unlimited websites). The extension itself works regardless of your plan.

The extension continues to work on your site — it does not stop functioning. However, you will no longer receive updates or have access to technical support. You can renew at any time to regain access to new versions and support.
There is no free trial version. However, you can see detailed feature descriptions, screenshots and the FAQ on this site before purchasing. If the extension does not meet your needs, contact us within 14 days for a refund.
Yes. All renewals receive a 20% discount on the regular price. The discount is applied automatically when you renew your subscription.
Updates & support
After installation, enter your download key in the extension settings. Updates then appear in Joomla's Extension Manager → Update like any other extension. One click to update. Your download key must be active (subscription not expired) for updates to be available.
Your download key is available in your account area at lolkv.com/my-account after purchase. It is also included in your order confirmation email.
Active subscribers can post technical questions in the support forum. The forum is monitored by the developer. General questions about features and compatibility are open to everyone.
No. All updates use Joomla's standard
method="upgrade" installation. Your data, settings and configuration are preserved. Database migrations are handled automatically during the update process.EasyLearn
Yes. EasyLearn supports multi-tenant setups using Joomla user groups. Each organization only sees their own courses, students and statistics. Permissions are controlled per course, category and instructor.
Lessons are built with content blocks. Available types: text (rich HTML editor), video (upload MP4/WebM), embedded video (YouTube/Vimeo), audio (MP3/WAV/etc.) and quiz. You can mix and match blocks in any order.
Yes. You can set a validity period per course (or inherit from category/global settings). When a certificate expires, the student can renew it by completing specified lessons or passing the exam again. Configurable email reminders are sent before and after expiry.
Frontend UserManager
No. Frontend UserManager works with Joomla's existing user system. It reads and writes to the same
#__users, #__usergroups and #__viewlevels tables. Changes made in Frontend UserManager are immediately visible in the Joomla backend, and vice versa.When enabled, the username field is hidden and automatically set to the user's email address. This simplifies registration and login. The included plugin extends this behavior to Joomla's own profile and registration forms as well.
Yes, in hierarchical mode. An administrator can only see and manage users and groups within their own branch of the group tree. For example, a school admin can manage teachers and students in their school, but not in other schools.
